the artist

Ulrike Simons is a German artist and printmaker. She completed her B.F.A. degree in painting and graphics at the Hochschule der bildenden Künste Essen from 2015 to 2020. Already at the beginning of her studies, she discovered print graphics, in which she has found her passion and her artistic expression to this day.

From 2016, until the end of her studies, she worked as a student assistant as part of information events and further training seminars at HBK Essen, print studio.

In 2018, Ulrike Simons received a 1-year scholarship, which enabled her to deepen a wide variety of art forms of print graphics with partial frames at printmaking workshops in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands. In the year 2019 she took part in an 8-week artist-in-residence stay at Letter Foundation in Germany.
